This link below is to a fascinating discussion between Rowan Williams and author Philip Pullman. He may be an atheist, but he is certainly interested in spirituality. They discuss religious education and the idea that all people do have religious experience. The UK’s Telegraph newspaper published this under, ‘The Dark Materials Debate: life, God, the universe…’. Rowan Williams asks Philip what happened to Jesus in the book’s church. Rowan Williams says at least as much as Philip, and Philip seems ready to listen and engage. They also discuss individual vs. corporate spiritual experience. (and forums for religious education ranging from poem, to drama and novel) [:o)]
