Why publish something like this – or the failures of the Catholic church, or those of some megachurch pastors etc? Because the church has been fairly criticized for burying stuff it should have exposed…

But on the other hand, may our immediate response be ‘There but for the grace of God go I…’

I’ve been privileged to know Mal for 50 years since we did some radio broadcasting together. I’ll be writing a personal note to him as a fellow-sinner (who happens to be tempted in other – just as or more serious – areas. After all, the only way to create a hierarchy of sins is to ask how Jesus responded and certainly ‘sins of the spirit’ are worse, eh?).
